Meet Drew Maulding.

I started Maulding Bookkeeping because small business owners deserve accurate financials and someone they can actually reach — not a rotating roster of staff and a ticket system.

I’m a senior at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, finishing up a degree in Accounting with a minor in Finance. Maulding Bookkeeping is where I put that education to work for real businesses — not just case studies.

I’m based in Bentonville and work with clients across the country through QuickBooks Online. For anyone local to Northwest Arkansas, I’m also happy to meet in person.

I’m a one-person bookkeeping practice based out of Bentonville, Arkansas. I don’t have a team, I don’t have junior staff, and I don’t plan to scale into one — because the reason most small-business owners call me in the first place is that the last person who touched their books made a mess and vanished. You should know exactly who is looking at your numbers, and you should be able to reach them on the phone.

I stay credentialed because the certifications are how you can tell, before hiring me, that somebody else has already vetted the basics: QuickBooks Online fluency, the chart-of-accounts structure small businesses actually run on, and the monthly close that holds up when your CPA opens the file. Solo doesn’t mean amateur — it means accountable.

Intuit Bookkeeping Certified

What it is. Issued by Intuit (the makers of QuickBooks) after a proctored exam and continuing education across QuickBooks Online, the chart of accounts, monthly close, payroll, and the reports small-business CPAs depend on.

Why it matters for you. You’re not hiring someone who watched a YouTube playlist. The fundamentals — the chart, the reconciliations, the reports that don’t contradict themselves — have been independently tested and are updated every year so they keep matching how QuickBooks actually works.

QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor

What it is. A directory-vetted status that recognizes working-level proficiency with QuickBooks Online specifically — including setup, app integrations, and the catch-up / cleanup work that an older or stalled book needs before the close can start.

Why it matters for you. It means I can set your books up the right way the first time, plug QBO into the apps you already use, and rebuild the mess your last bookkeeper left — so you stop paying me to fix things the file should never have produced.
